Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh will pay an official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) from February 12-14th, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit is made at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK Ri Yong Ho.

Ri paid an officia visit to Viet Nam in November 2018 when he held talks with Minh in the capita city of Ha Noi.

Minh affirmed Viet Nam stands ready to share its socio-economic development experience with the Northeast Asian country during the pair's talks.

Minh welcomed recent positive developments on the Korean peninsula, emphasizing Viet Nam’s consistent position of supporting peace, stability and cooperation on the peninsula.

He also expected the relevant parties to foster dialogues to achieve real progresses in addressing denuclearization on the Korean peninsula, saying Viet Nam is ready to make practical contributions to the dialogue process between the DPRK and the relevant sides.

Meanwhile, Ri expressed his pleasure to visit Viet Nam and directly witness the Southeast Asian country’s achievements in national development and international integration cause.

He affirmed the DPRK treasures and expects to further consolidate the friendly and traditional ties with Viet Nam.
