The team for landing and take-off safety at the airport held a meeting on March 1 to discuss the problem.

On February 27, a dog evaded security to access the runway. At that time, a plane was preparing to land. Security quickly informed the air traffic control tower to notice the crew. The pilot had to circle before landing 15 minutes later.

According to the Northern Airports Authority, security at Haiphong City's Cat Bi International Airport has reported six cases of animals running into the runways and threatening air traffic safety.

The Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCM City also reported various cases of animals ran into the airport. The flight crews said they had noticed dogs on the runways or in the parking lot. Previously, a Jetstar Pacific flight also had to circle around and landed later because there was an animal on the runway.
