Dong Cuu village has long been famous for its traditional embroidery, especially the making of royal robes for kings of feudal dynasties in Vietnam, and the craft has still been upheld nowadays.
A stitch in time saves a unique village
Dong Cuu is Viet Nam’s only craft village that supplied ritual dresses for kings, lords and courtiers in the past. Now it specialises in costumes for the hau dong (the spirit medium) ritual that received UNESCO recognition.
