The Dong Nai River has been playing a very important role in the development of the HCM City as the southern economic center. Therefore, when the river gets polluted, the economic center has suffered.

 VietNamNet Bridge – HCM City will classify areas for wastewater discharge at 97 rivers, streams and waterways in an effort to prevent further pollution of the city’s clean water supply,

VietNamNet Bridge – Five years since the Government established the Dong Nai River Environment Protection Committee to tackle the water pollution in the river, there is seemingly no improvement in the quality of the water so far.

Twenty million people in 11 provinces and cities in the southern region of the country are being affected by the worsening water pollution in the Dong Nai River, all of who use the river water for some form of daily activity or production.
