Local people in Sa Dec flower village in Dong Thap province are working to prepare flowers and bonsai plants for sale serving Lunar New Year (Tet) festival 

Sa Dec Flower Village has been seen as the flower kingdom in the Mekong Delta and the country’s largest supplier of flowers for southern provinces during Tet 

The village marks out over 90 ha of land for flower cultivation 

It is expected to supply 2.5-3 million baskets of various kinds of flowers, such as rose, gerbera and lily to the market 

Sa Dec flowers are being sold across the country, especially in Ho Chi Minh City 

The village is also a tourist destination, attracting 300,000 visitors during the previous Tet holiday
