Dortmund footballers excited to discover Hanoi
Following their arrival in Hanoi, players of Bundesliga FC Borussia Dortmund enjoyed a cyclo tour around the Vietnamese capital and explored some famous sightseeing spots ahead of their friendly match against hosts Vietnam on November 30.
The Dortmund footballers touch down at Noi Bai International Airport on November 28 for a friendly match against the Vietnamese national football team slated for November 30. While staying in Hanoi, they go on a cyclo tour to discover the capital city.
Cyclos carrying the German football stars draw plenty of attention from passers-by.
The players are hugely excited to experience touring around Hanoi by cyclo during their first trip to Vietnam.
The German footballers stroll around historic Ba Dinh Square and Ho Guom lake, also known as Returned Sword lake.
They stop to inquire about the history of Thap Rua, also known as Turtle Tower, which is located at the heart of Returned Sword lake.
They take a walk across The Huc bridge, a vermilion red bridge made of wooden boards which connects the lake’s bank with Ngoc Son temple in the middle of the lake.
At Ngoc Son temple, the German tourists listen to stories about the Returned Sword lake.
The players are greeted by many local football fans.
Football fans turn out to catch a glimpse of their idols.
The football stars are surrounded by fans everywhere they go.
The friendly between the Vietnamese national football team and Borussia Dortmund FC is due to take place at 7 p.m. on November 30 at the My Dinh Stadium.
