The draw for the AFC U-19 Women's Championship (China 2017) took place on Friday (Apr. 28) in Kuala Lumpur, placing Vietnam in Group B alongside Japan, the Republic of Korea and Australia.
Hosts China was placed in Group A with DPR Korea, the 2016 FIFA U-20 World Cup champions, along with Thailand and Uzbekistan.
Each group will play a one-round league, with the top two teams qualifying for the semifinals.
The two winners of the semifinals will advance to the final, while the two losing teams will contest third and fourth place.
The tournament will be played October 18-25 in Nanjing, China. The top three ranked teams in China will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup (France 2018).
