VietUnion, a subsidiary of Saigon Invest Group (SGI), has launched an integrated ticket selling system which allows customers to buy different kinds of tickets at convenience stores.
The company is expected to join hands with service providers, including 123phim, atadi, vexere and click1bus, to provide customers with transportation tickets through the Pay Touch system.
A representative of the company said 20 POS terminals would be placed at Circle K and B’smart convenience stores in the city for trial operation. If the project is successful, the company would expand the system to other provinces.
Ngo Trung Linh, general director of VietUnion, said the integrated service which uses the platform of Pay Touch would help customers easily buy tickets for different services such as entertainment and transportation.
Consumers will simply choose ticket, place and time of departure and destination on the screen, and then use their mobile phones to scan QR codes to make payments using their e-wallets or bank cards.
They can also provide a payment code and ask the cashier to process process the payment.
Payoo, an online payment service provided by VietUnion, is connected with nearly 4,000 points of sale (POS) at retail stores to allow customers to pay electricity and cable television bills.
