The Ministry of Industry and Trade has called for the organisation of practical activities to respond to Earth Hour 2023 in Vietnam from 8:30p.m to 9:30p.m on March 25.
A campaign to respond to Earth Hour 2023 will be launched across Vietnam from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 25, with the event sending a message of saving energy, protecting the environment, and adapting to the threat of climate change.
Small actions such as turning off electrical appliances when not in use, saving water, planting a row of trees will protect the environment.
Vietnam saved 436,000kWh of electricity, equivalent to 812.9 million VND (34,928 USD), for one hour from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 28, in response to Earth Hour 2020, according to the National Power Dispatch Centre.
The lights are being switched off around the world at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, to mark the 10th annual Earth Hour, and to draw attention to climate change.
