The National Election Council’s Subcommittee for Personnel and Settlement of Complaints and Denunciation reviewed its performance and outlined new tasks in a meeting in Hanoi on June 7.

The meeting aimed to prepare for the sixth session of the National Election Council (NEC) which was scheduled for June 8.
It was chaired by Phung Quoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) and head of the subcommittee.
Subcommittee members reviewed the implementation of tasks it has been assigned since the last meeting of the National Election Council and mapped out future plans.
They also discussed the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly for the 2016-2021 term which took place last month as well as the general election results and the list of newly-elected NA deputies.
According to NA Vice Chairman Hien, the subcommittee has been working to help the NEC verify the eligibility of all newly-elected deputies.
