Saigontourist Travel Service Company said over 350 passengers from Germany on Europa cruise ship operated by Hapag Lloyd Cruises arrived at Saigon Port on February 7.
These international visitors will explore HCMC in two days, including seeking to know preparations for the Lunar New Year and visiting the famous tourist attraction of Cu Chi tunnels.
After that, Celebrity Cruises, belonging to Hapag Lloyd Cruises, will bring 3,000 international guests to explore popular tourist destinations across the country from the 5th to the 9th of Tet.
Visiting Vietnam during Tet, visitors have opportunities to explore attractive tourist destinations and immerse themselves in the meaningful atmosphere of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
According to Saigontourist, another three luxury cruise ships will make port calls in Vietnam this month. Specifically, Celebrity Solstice returned to the country with its five-day voyage from February 22 to 26. Spectrum of the Seas operated by Royal Caribbean Group will dock at Ba Ria-Vung Tau on February 20, and Crystal Symphony is scheduled to arrive in Vietnam from February 20 to 25.
The number of international visitors to Vietnam in February using the services of Saigontourist rises by 15% compared to the same period last year. This represents a positive signal for Vietnam’s tourism as a whole and sea travel in particular, said a representative.
