Some companies in Vietnam have decided to give their employees a break today, August 29 to watch the Vietnamese U23 team play an ASIAD 2018 semi-final match against South Korea.

The match will take place at 4 pm today.

A pharmaceutical firm in the northern province of Nam Dinh will allow staff time off from 3 pm today to cheer the team. The staff have been encouraged to watch the match at the firm’s hall. 

A real estate company has followed the suit. If the U23s win the games, each staff member will receive a bonus of VND200,000 (USD9.09), while managers will get VND400,000 (USD18.18) each.

Meanwhile, staff from a publishing company in Dong Da District, Hanoi, have been permitted to leave work from 2 pm. They will join a party to watch the match and they will enjoy a VND500,000 bonus if Vietnam wins.

Early this morning, thousands of Vietnamese football lovers arrived at Noi Bai International Airport to take flights to Indonesia for the Vietnam-South Korea semi-final.
