Viet Nam Football Federation has signed a contract with Japanese coach Ijiro Akira, who will take charge of training young female footballers.

Akira, who has more than 10 years of experience in this field, will be head coach of the U16 and U19 teams.
The coach will also be technical adviser and assistant for the other youth teams. He will take responsibility for building training plans and managing activities for the youth squads.
The Japanese coach is currently working with coach Nguyễn Mai Lan and the U15 team, who will take part in the regional championship beginning on May 9 in Thailand. — VNS
