U22 Vietnam prepare to face U22 China

Vietnam’s head coach Park Hang-seo announced the list of 27 players for the U22 national team to prepare for the friendly against U22 China to be held in China on September 8.

This is the first friendly for the U22 team since they began preparations for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games 30 in the Philippines later this year.

The South Korean coach called on goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, defenders Ho Tan Tai, Huynh Tan Sinh, midfielders Truong Van Thai Quy, Trieu Viet Hung, Phan Thanh Hậu, Bùi Tien Dung and striker Ha Duc Chinh.

Guus Hiddink, the current coach of the Chinese national team, was Vietnamese head coach Park Hang-seo’s partner over a decade ago. Both men worked together during South Korea’s successful 2002 World Cup campaign.

 

According to the Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF), both the U22 team and the national team will take part in a training camp on August 26.

Due to the schedule clash, manager Park will place his assistant Kim Yan-yoon in charge of coaching the U22 team.

As planned, U22 Vietnam will leave for China on September 6.
