A Vietnamese film titled “Nhan Duyen: Nguoi Yeu Tien Kiep” is to be screened at a number of cinemas throughout the United States in December, according to film producer Quynh Chi.
The news comes after Quynh Chi’s company signed a co-operation agreement with a distributor in the US to bring the film to audiences of Vietnamese expats and Americans.
The film will be screened at eight theaters across the US, including Southern California, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Louisiana, and Philadelphia.
"Nhan Duyen: Nguoi Yeu Tien Kiep" is a film about a love story between Tran Nhat and Quynh Mai. Despite Tran Nhat's death, their love cannot end as he becomes a spirit that follows and protects Quynh Mai for centuries, up to the present day.
Some notable faces also appear in the movie, including singer Trinh Thang Binh and actress Midu who are the main characters.
The film is set to be released in Vietnam on October 4, and in the US in December. VOV
