The People's Committee of Cu Jut district, Dak Nong province has organized the 2023 Folk Song Festival, the first of its kind.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Jut district, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee Vu Van Binh said that the festival has an important meaning because it is an opportunity for people of all ethnic groups int the district to meet, interact and exchange experiences, contributing to introducing, honoring and preserving the traditional cultural beauty of ethnic groups in the district.

Organized for the first time, the Folk Song Festival of Cu Jut district attracted nearly 200 artists, including many senior artisans, with 24 unique performances. The performances not only adhered to the theme and regulations set by the organizing board but also used appropriate costumes and props and performed professionally.

The chief juryman - Meritorious Artist, Musician Vo Cuong said that the performances not only demonstrated the talent and enthusiasm of artists but also demonstrated the continuation and creativity in ethnic folk songs, contributing to infuse inspiration and love of folk culture to the audience.

Cu Jut district currently has 8 administrative units including 1 town and 7 communes with 124 villages, hamlets, and residential groups. The district is home to 25 ethnic groups, of which ethnic minorities account for 49.59% of the district's population.
