Located approximately 110 km from Hanoi, Tien Hai district in Thai Binh province is a popular destination for tourists and photographers, offering numerous famous check-in spots such as Con Vanh Beach, Dong Chau Beach, and Keo Pagoda.

Notably, during September and October, visitors can witness expansive golden rice fields stretching across various communes in the area.

Nhat Ha, a resident of Thai Binh City, shares that Thai Binh, a region without mountains but rich in rivers, presents a unique golden season different from the terraced rice fields found in highland areas such as Hoang Su Phi (Ha Giang) or Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai).

"The rice fields here are neatly planned, straight, and rectangular, unlike the winding, layered terraces in the mountainous regions. From above, they resemble a giant patchwork quilt, with intermingling shades of green and yellow," Ha explained.

Tien Hai is known for its vast rice-growing areas, making it a perfect place to capture beautiful and poetic images during this season.

Local photographer Doan Ngoc Anh suggests that the best time to photograph the golden fields in Tien Hai is early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the weather is cooler and the light is softer, ideal for photos and check-ins.

He recommends two prime locations for capturing the golden fields: Dong Co and Dong Lam communes, about 30 km from Thai Binh city center.

"The roads to these rice fields are quite convenient, and visitors can easily travel by motorbike or car," Ngoc Anh mentioned.

Visitors can combine their trip to the golden fields with stops at other attractions in Tien Hai, such as Con Vanh Beach, Dong Chau Beach, Keo Pagoda, and Bac Trach Church.

Not only is Tien Hai beautiful thanks to its natural resources, but it also attracts visitors with its unique cultural and historical value.

According to the Tien Hai district government's website, there are currently 250 historical and cultural relics scattered throughout the district's communes and towns, with 97 recognized monuments (14 national and 83 provincial-level monuments), making it an ideal place for tourists to explore and learn.
