The project was sponsored via the management board of Norway’s Football for All in Vietnam (FFAV).

The project will be carried out within two years (2017-2018) with a view to increasing physical ability and life skills for children, especially those living in the resettled areas and social protection centres.

It also looks to improve the local capacity to organise football activities and promote gender equality and soft skills for girls.

The project will help establish seven football clubs while maintaining 20 existing ones, upgrading playgrounds, and hosting football competitions in combination with life skill education in wards and communes.

Over the past few years, the Norwegian Football Federation (NEF) and its FFAV management board have actively supported community-based football activities in Thua Thien-Hue province.

The NEF has carried out many projects in the province, benefiting over 16,000 local children.

Particularly, it has been seeking financial support from FIFA and UEFA to help poor children and those with disabilities join football activities.
