A huge fire has broken out at Vinh Phuoc Commune in Nha Trang, destroying as many as 70 houses and causing great loss of property.
The fire starts at around 10: 30 p.m. on January 17 in a house on Nhat Tri Islet and quickly spreads to nearby households. According to initial information, the flame sparks at the home of a man named Toan, who fell asleep while cooking animal feed. Despite their quick response, local firefighters are unable to reach the scene and save the facilities as strong wind from the sea blows the fire out of control. Nhat Tri Islet is home to 1,400 households and 7,000 residents. Local people have to use water buckets to help put out the fire. The rescue team is unable to reach the neighbourhood that located between two rivers with only a narrow entrance. No casualties are reported. |
