Hanoi plans to hold spectacular firework displays and diverse cultural, art and sports activities to welcome the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).

This has been unveiled in the municipal People’s Committee’s plan on the organization of cultural, art and sports activities to mark the 88th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3 and Tet.

Accordingly, Hoan Kiem lake, Ba Dinh Square and other public spaces in the city will be colorfully lighted and decorated with banners and flowers. Photo exhibitions and film shows will also be held.  

Especially, at 8pm on February 3, diverse art and cultural activities will take place at King Ly Thai To park, My Dinh stadium, and other locations.

Firework shows and art activities will be held at several places and historic sites will be open to the public on the occasion.
