This evening (February 20), the Cau Bong Border Guard Station (under the Khanh Hoa Border Guard Command) reported that rescue teams were actively working to assist and search for the missing fishermen from the sunken vessel.

Earlier in the morning, Huynh Van Quy, a fisherman from Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City, and five other crew members were returning to shore when their boat capsized approximately 700 meters from the mouth of the Cai River in Nha Trang.

Upon receiving the distress call, the Cau Bong Border Guard deployed personnel to coordinate with other agencies in the rescue effort. Divers were sent to inspect the cabin, fishing nets, and surrounding waters, successfully saving four crew members. Two fishermen were initially reported missing.
After several hours of searching, at around 4:00 PM the same day, the body of one victim, identified as N.M.H, was discovered in the waters off Vinh Truong Ward.

Currently, one person remains missing. Authorities have expanded the search operation into Nha Trang Bay.
Meanwhile, the sunken vessel has been towed to the Cai River near Ponagar Tower in Vinh Phuoc Ward for salvage operations.
