Experienced fishermen choose the location for casting fishing nets because they can accurately judge the direction of fish. This is considered the most important part of fishing.

After casting fishing nets, the fishermen are divided into two groups to pull the nets to shore.

Fishing nets used by fishermen in Quang Ngai’s coastal communes measure around 1,000 metres-2,000 metres in length.

It takes about two to three hours for fishermen to get a catch of fish. Normally, brothers in a family or neighbours gather into a group to catch fish.

Each day, fishermen can earn VND150,000-200,000 each by selling fish that they catch.

Fishermen often sell fish to restaurants and tourists right on the beach.

Fishing is arduous work with numerous dangers; however fishermen can feed their families with their fine catch of fish.
