The event welcomed delegations from all 11 participating Southeast Asian countries.

At around 2:30 p.m., the delegations entered the ceremonial area one after another.

Each country was represented by 33 members  -  a symbolic number marking the 33rd edition of the SEA Games.

When the Vietnamese flag was raised alongside the playing of the national anthem, it was a profoundly emotional moment for Team Vietnam and members of the press in attendance.

Vietnamese delegation members proudly sang along as the red flag with a yellow star ascended.

For everyone present, it was a moment of pride and honor  -  a symbolic recognition of Vietnam’s participation in this regional arena.

The ceremony also served as a formal acknowledgment of the presence of all participating countries at SEA Games 33.

Organizers and delegations exchanged commemorative gifts during the ceremony.

The entire event was conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.

Vietnam’s delegation leader, Nguyen Hong Minh, confirmed that the team is fully prepared for competition.

Team Vietnam is participating in SEA Games 33 with a total of 1,165 members. This includes 842 athletes, 189 coaches, and 19 experts.

They will compete in 47 out of 66 sports, across 443 of the 573 medal events, with a medal target of 90–110 golds.
