VietNamNet reporters found large quantities of debris, including tree branches, water plants, plastic bags, bottles and household items, washed up along the beach, affecting the coastal landscape and local activities.
Officials from the Sam Son ward People's Committee said the debris was a consequence of the recent rains and flooding. Once weather conditions stabilize, local authorities will coordinate with relevant agencies to mobilize workers and equipment to collect and remove the waste and clean the beach.
Local authorities have also urged residents and visitors not to litter and to help keep the environment clean, particularly in coastal areas following floods.
