Flood ties on today morning, November 16, peaked at 1.69 metres, leaving many streets in HCM City under water.
High flood tides submerged many streets in Binh Thanh, Thu Duc and Nha Be districts. Le Van Luong and Nguyen Binh streets in Nha Be District were deeply inundated, causing many vehicles to be unable to move.
This afternoon, floods were forecasted to peak 1.70 metres at Nha Be District area and then will gradually decrease after that.
On the morning of November 15 the flood tides reached 1.63 metres in HCM City, causing a section of the dyke at Saigon River to break. Water swamped nearby residential areas, bringing local households' asset losses.
