Swedish ambassador to Vietnam Camilla Mellander in typical red-white
costumes opened the Feast of Saint Lucy at a ceremony in Hanoi on
December 10.
In Scandinavia it is believed that Saint Lucy bring food and aid to Christians.
The Feast of Saint Lucy held in the Swedish embassy in Hanoi this year
attracted 700 invitees to diversified activities including a food
festival, games and art performances.
Christmas atmosphere has pervaded the Embassy of France in Hanoi for a
couple of weeks. French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean Noel Poirier (Right)
held a small party on December 17 and offered gifts to children.
On the occasion of Christmas, the Embassy of New Zealand in coordination
with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation donated red scarves for
disadvantaged children in Hanoi.
