Vietnam’s franchising market continues to flaunt its potential, as a new wave of the world’s biggest brands are increasingly looking for franchising partners, Mr. Sean T. Ngo, CEO of VF Franchise Consulting, told the largest franchising event of the year, “International Franchise Discovery Day”, held in Hanoi on April 27.

Vietnamese franchisees had the opportunity to meet leading international brands in the food and beverage sector seeking partners for expansion with investment capital from $1 million to $5 million.

As the world’s most effective and successful model, franchising provides investors with a relatively rapid avenue for entering into business with controlled levels of investment and reduced risk.

Grimaldi’s New York Pizzeria, for example, is a 120-year-old pizza brand that started at the base of the famous Brooklyn Bridge in New York and is now headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.

With over 100 years of coal-fired brick-oven pizza-making tradition, Grimaldi’s continues to ensure that future generations are able to experience their distinctive and truly authentic pizza.

The brand has a minimum investment of $5 million.

The Boiling Crab® restaurant was opened in 2004, with casual, full-dining restaurants modeled on traditional, Cajun-style, seafood boils from Louisiana and Southern Texas, where eating crawfish, crab, lobster, shrimp, raw oysters, fried catfish, shrimp, Cajun fries, gumbo, and other side dishes is a social and family event.

The brand has a minimum investment of $3 million.

Presotea® introduced the world’s first premium tea brewing process using an espresso machine, which retains the flavor and sweetness of tea.

With more than 300 franchise stores opened since being launched, Presotea® is now in Taiwan, Indonesia, Canada, China, and Australia.

With a minimum investment of $1 million, Presotea® is a brand favored by young people in many countries around the world.

According to Mr. Ngo, with 95 million people and one of the fastest-growing GDP growth rates in the world, the franchising world has taken notice of the significant opportunities in consumer spending in Vietnam.

Consumer spending in the country is especially high in the food and beverage and education sectors.

Even the renowned Goldman Sachs estimates that Vietnam will become a Top 10 economy by 2050.
