On December 21, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province reported that it had forwarded the case of a Russian woman accused of reckless motorbike riding to the provincial Criminal Police Division for further investigation.

The incident began circulating online on December 18, when videos emerged showing the woman riding a motorcycle with license plate 79N2-552.54. In the footage, she could be seen lying flat on the seat while the vehicle was in motion and striking provocative poses  -  acts deemed hazardous and inappropriate in public spaces.

After receiving the tip-off, the local traffic police, in coordination with other relevant departments, launched a probe to verify the incident.

Through investigation, authorities found that the motorbike involved was previously owned by a Russian man identified as V.I., who confirmed he had given the vehicle to a compatriot named Nikitina, 34, currently residing in an apartment complex in Bac Nha Trang Ward.

On December 20, law enforcement visited her residence and brought her in for questioning. At the police station, Nikitina admitted to being the woman in the video. She said she had performed the stunt  -  lying on the seat while riding  -  along various roads in Cam Lam District (formerly part of Khanh Hoa) during January and June of 2025.

Believing that the act showed signs of disrupting public order, the traffic police finalized the preliminary case file and handed it over to the Criminal Police Division of Khanh Hoa Province for legal processing under the appropriate statutes.
