Police have found the bodies of four victims who drowned after a boat capsized on Lap River, Binh Phuoc Province on November 27.

Only four of the eight people on the boat survived. The victims were all relatives including a couple and a father and son.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc, the victims' aunt, said the accident happened at midnight. She was sleeping when she heard the screaming from the river. She ran out and was able to save one of eight people on the boat.

Only two of the people on the boat knew how to swim and tried to save other people. Nguyen Tien Cuong brought his daughter to the shore and returned for his wife but he was exhausted and couldn't survive.

10 rescuers were sent out to search for the victims after receiving the news.

Bui Van Ut Ba, the victims' uncle, said, "Our nephew returned home on the weekend so everyone went to the other side of the river to party which is 200 metres away. They were going home on boat after the party finished after midnight but the boat was too small for eight people."
