A family of four have been found dead in their house in Hanoi's Bac Tu Liem District after it was gutted by fire early Thursday morning.

One of the bedrooms where the victims are found dead in a house fire in Hanoi on July 13.



According to Hanoi fire police, the fire was detected at the four-storey house on Xuan Dinh Street at around 2.50 am on July 13.

Nearly 50 fire police officers had been sent immediately and the fire was brought under control at 3.15am, police said.

The rescue team was unable to save four family members who were found dead in their bedrooms on the third floor. 

The victims, who were suspected to have died from smoke inhalation, were identified as Van Trong Bo, 51, his wife Hoang Thi Hoa, 49, their 25-year-old son, Van Trong Hoang and 17-year-old daughter, Van Thao Nga. 

The fire had also burnt down the whole house.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
