Through rapid deployment of investigative measures, law enforcement officials apprehended four foreign individuals suspected of involvement in the attack.
Preliminary investigations indicate that this group of foreigners had illegally crossed into Vietnam through a broker, seeking employment opportunities.
The group was picked up by Mr. D., who was driving them on National Highway 1A toward Hanoi.
However, fearing they were being trafficked, the suspects restrained Mr. D. and stabbed him in the neck with a knife in a desperate attempt to escape.
Mr. D. was taken to Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi, where he has since passed the critical stage and is receiving further treatment.
