As per Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature,  from January to October, 2016, Vietnam has four universities which have the most scientific journals published internationally.

The Leading university is Hanoi National University with 359 published articles; next is Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City with 296 articles. 

Hanoi University of Science and Technology is ranked the third with 269 articles and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology takes the fourth position with 255 articles.

Ton Duc Thang University jumped from fifth position last time to the second. 

Head of the Technology Faculty of Ton Duc Thang University Dr. Le Van Ut said that Scopus often updates journals published well-known journals in the globe. 

To be published in well-known journals in the world, an article must be written in English about “new” things. 

English is the most barrier for a Vietnamese scientist.
