FPT’s abnormal sound detection technology is built on a deep-trained encoder-decoder neural network. It enables manufacturing enterprises to identify abnormal sound patterns even in noisy environments - addressing a major challenge in industrial maintenance and sound monitoring.

The system can detect signs of equipment malfunctions, operational errors, or security risks through sound - a factor often overlooked in traditional industrial maintenance.

FPT has integrated this model into its Intelligent Inspection (I²) SoundAI solution, currently deployed for businesses in the manufacturing and automotive sectors.

With an accuracy rate of up to 95%, SoundAI empowers companies to proactively maintain equipment, monitor product quality, and reduce reliance on manual inspection procedures.

With an AI-first strategy, FPT incorporates artificial intelligence into all its solutions to enhance operational efficiency for enterprises at a global scale.

According to Nguyen Xuan Phong, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at FPT Software, the patent demonstrates FPT’s capabilities in developing proprietary technologies that solve complex real-world problems and meet stringent international standards.

This is not the first time FPT has made its mark in the international patent arena.

Earlier in 2025, the company became the first Vietnamese enterprise to receive a US patent for a generative and ranking neural network system used in AI4Code - a smart programming assistant that boosts productivity and improves software quality.

FPT currently operates two AI factories in Vietnam and Japan, equipped with NVIDIA GPUs and ranked among the top 40 fastest supercomputers in the world.

These facilities serve as the backbone for large-scale AI research, development, and deployment.

Under its 2030 strategy, FPT aims to equip 500,000 people with AI skills, serve at least 50% of Vietnam’s population, and deliver AI solutions to 300 million users worldwide - affirming its pioneering role in innovation and AI application globally.
