The hacker, whose nickname is herasvn, was also involved in the data breach suffered by Con Cung retail chain staff last weekend.

In particular, the hacker published on the forum pictures capturing purchase information of enterprises and individual customers at the FPT store chain, along with their identification numbers and the products they purchased.

The hacker saved all the data and posted a tool allegedly owned by FPT Shop and the source code containing the information of the host computer. The data thief only disclosed part of the data, demanding a fee to release the rest of the information to those interested.

Earlier, the hacker had released data that allegedly belonged to Con Cung staff. Experts on the security forum WhiteHat conducted an inspection, confirming in a statement that the data were accurate and that the Con Cung store chain might have been hacked.

Another hacker had previously breached and disclosed on the RaidForums data including more than 31,000 bank card transactions and 5.4 million email addresses that allegedly belong to clients of The Gioi Di Dong store chain.

However, a representative of The Gioi Di Dong has refuted this rumor, adding that the Information Security Department, under the Ministry of Information and Communications, had confirmed that the information system of the chain remains secure.
