United Nations Day of Vesak will be organised at the Tam Chuc Buddhism Culture Centre, Kim Bang district, in the northern province of Ha Nam and is set to run between May 12 and 14.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha said the event provides a good opportunity to improve the image of Vietnam and its people whilst simultaneously showcasing the nation’s tourism potential to a host of international delegates.

The organizing board has sent invitations to all delegates to select five tours to go on. This includes three tours free of charge and two tours with charge.

Following the closing ceremony of the event, organisers will put on three free tours to Trang An-Bai Dinh, Yen Tu, Fansipan Sapa and two tours with charge to historic relic sites in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay.
