Starting from the South, home to the country's most dynamic economic hub, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Sai Gon), through the Mekong Delta, then heading north towards the Gulf of Tonkin and Hanoi, Vietnam stretches like a dragon along the East Sea.

As the cradle of a civilisation of great wealth, Vietnam has managed to preserve its ancient capital cities and colonial architecture, testaments of the cultures that have crossed its history. The country is a diverse canvas, with majestic natural landscapes ranging from terraced fields to the islands scattered across Ha Long Bay.
