French festival ‘Baladeen France’ will take place close by the Ly Thai To Statue and pedestrian streets near to Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi from between December 14 and 16.

The event will be jointly held by the French embassy in Vietnam, the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Hanoi People’s Committee as part of a series of events to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Vietnam – France diplomatic ties (1973 – 2018) and the 5th anniversary of the strategic partnership that exists between the two countries.

The 2018 French festival will provide Hanoians with opportunities to taste popular French dishes, experience new technology, cosmetics and interior decoration products at over 60 booths set up by French restaurants and businesses in Vietnam.

Additionally, the organizing board will also set up a replica Paris street during the Christmas period in the walking street area close to Hoan Kiem lake. Visitors can immerse themselves in exciting musical performances held by French and Vietnamese artists at the event.

Moreover, visitors can participate in puzzle competitions with topics on France and also on the French language as well as a wide range of other interesting games throughout the event.

In particular, visitors and residents can register for workshops on drama, hosted by French theater director Quentin Delorme, and attend a photo exhibition on France by French alumni.

This is the first time the event has been held in the capital city of Hanoi.
