A Classical and Contemporary music concert featuring the TANA Strings Quartet will take place at L’Espace in Hanoi on April 13.
The Tana String Quartet was formed in 2010 to promote contemporary repertoire and enhance the relationship between composer and performer; they place no boundaries when selecting style or genre and often present classical repertoire alongside contemporary works.
The quarter’s repertoires are undeniably original and very contemporary.
The band will play for the first time “Phong Vu” – one of the compositions written for string quartets by composer Ton That Tiet.
The quartet is recipient of an array of international awards, such as FUGA AWARD awarded by the Union of Belgian Composers in 2012; Winner of the Verbier Festival Academy Chamber Music in 2012; Octave De La Musique in the category Contemporary music in 2013; HSBC winner of the European Academy of Music at Festival d’Aix en Provence in 2013; Coup De Coeur of the Académie Charles Cros in 2015.
The concert will be also organized in Ho Chi Minh City on April 14.
