Less than a month from its rumored launch in February, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has once again become the center of attention. With more leaks surfacing, we now have a clearer picture of what to expect from Samsung’s next flagship.

According to Android Headlines, a trusted source in the tech world, they’ve obtained what are considered “official” renders of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with several confirmed specifications.

The images show the device in two color options: cobalt violet and classic black.

A familiar design, refined for detail

At first glance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may not surprise long-time fans. Its design is nearly identical to the CAD drawings leaked last year, indicating Samsung’s decision to maintain its design language rather than reinvent it.

Photos of the S26 Ultra inside a UAG protective case recently emerged as well, notably featuring a ring on the back that resembles Apple’s MagSafe.

The new renders, however, provide additional angles - side views, tilted perspectives, and a clearer look at the built-in S-Pen, a signature feature of the Ultra series.

Those familiar with the Galaxy S25 Ultra will find much of the S26 Ultra’s look familiar: a flat display, center-aligned selfie camera, and uniformly slim bezels. Rather than a full design overhaul, Samsung appears focused on small but meaningful refinements.

The most noticeable change lies in the rear camera module. Instead of the semi-flat setup of its predecessor, the S26 Ultra features lenses mounted on a pill-shaped raised platform. Visually striking, this also represents a structural improvement. Notably, Samsung seems to have finally addressed the issue of peeling camera rings - a common complaint with the S25 Ultra.

Beyond the two revealed colors, sources report the S26 Ultra will be available in at least four additional shades: white, silver shadow, sky blue, and pink gold - expanding its aesthetic appeal from minimalist to youthful and vibrant.

Specifications: Ultra in name and nature

According to Android Headlines, several key specs have now been confirmed, aligning with earlier leaks.

All Galaxy S26 models will ship with Android 16 and Samsung’s latest One UI 8.5, which is currently in beta testing. This indicates Samsung’s continued push to offer the newest software experience from day one.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra will sport a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED QHD+ display, making it one of the largest among premium smartphones.

Among its standout features is a new Privacy Display technology - hardware and software working together to narrow the screen's viewing angles, shielding personal content from prying eyes.

For storage, only a 256GB variant has been confirmed so far, but analysts are confident that 512GB and 1TB models will also be offered, catering to high-end users.

Size-wise, the S26 Ultra measures approximately 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs around 214 grams - slightly thinner and lighter than its predecessor despite a marginal increase in height and width, likely to accommodate the larger screen and battery.

Powering the phone is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip from Qualcomm, expected to deliver significant improvements in performance and energy efficiency.

Battery capacity remains at 5,000mAh, but Samsung may finally increase charging speeds from 45W to 60W - a long-requested upgrade that could substantially reduce charging times.

Camera system: Bigger, sharper, better

Samsung continues its high-resolution strategy with the S26 Ultra. The primary sensor is reportedly 200MP, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera. The front camera stands at 12MP, more than sufficient for selfies and high-quality video calls.

While Samsung has chosen not to reinvent the wheel with the S26 Ultra’s design, the refined details, upgraded internals, and thoughtful new features like Privacy Display show a clear commitment to improving user experience - without sacrificing the identity the Ultra line has built.
