Previously, reward card games of different types and betting forms in Vietnam existed secretly.
Bankers sent advertising text messages via phone to players and lured them to play games by installing or using reward exchange systems (like RikVip). Betting forms rarely appeared publicly. Players referred to the betting odds on international websites and called betting rings to bet.
Now, with international suppliers supporting technology, betting is being advertised on online platforms.
An expert told VietNamNet that it is now easy to deploy systems providing gambling and betting games to players. The only thing investors need to worry about is money for investment.
If Vietnamese investors have money and want to provide these services, they can contact international suppliers, such as Sabx Sports, SBx and Ibx, to buy white label (when one company buys its product from another company and rebrands it as their own).
After the purchases, the partners providing services to Vietnam will set up websites and connect with suppliers’ API (application programming interface) which has forms, including gambling games, football betting and numbers betting. These can be played directly on the websites, or via apps.
Suppliers also introduce other service packages, such as SEO, ad banners, SMS services and advertising on social networks (Facebook, Google) and others.
The suppliers can provide numerous copyright packages, depending on investors’ money and their requirements. There are also packages designed to order and integrated with a payment system.
According to the expert, the majority of companies providing gambling and betting services in Vietnam have staff sitting in Cambodia or Dubai.
To spread services to Vietnamese users, the staff buy ads from domestic agencies (mostly ‘black’ and anonymous). The owners of gambling and betting games buy ads to place on entertainment websites, including film websites, Facebook, KOLs, and livestreams to lure players in Vietnam.
“Discussions and negotiations about ads are carried out via Telegram and secured with cloud services, so it is difficult to trace the information of these people,” he said.
The expert went on to say that behind international suppliers are ‘mafia’ from Taiwan (China), Malaysia and Singapore. Previously, Vietnamese agencies could only catch gambling and betting cases when the suppliers used Credit Market. But now, with cash net, or cash market, clients can pay in money to play, and bankers pay commission (30-60 percent) to anyone who can develop agents.
Gambling and betting service providers are strong in payment portals. In Cambodia, many payment portals are provided by companies from China and Malaysia.
