Talking to Switzerland’s Leman Bleu television channel on December 5, Pierre Schifferli from the Geveva lawyer delegation – one of the event’s organisers, said the workshop is bringing together experts in law and international affairs from universities and research institutes of the US, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and Australia.

The speakers will share their studies concerning East Sea disputes and the enforcement of the ruling by the PCA in July this year in line with the Appendix VII of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Schifferli said the event aims to hear views from international politicians, the public and media, on the East Sea issue, which is likely to show unanticipated developments that may raise political and military tensions.
