German trio to perform at conservatory of music

The Berlin-based Boulanger Trio will host a concert at the HCM City Conservatory of Music on July 7.

The band will play Trio g-Moll op. 17 by Clara Schumann, Litaniae by Paul Juon, and Trio e-Moll op 90 “Dumky” by Antonín Dvorák.

Founded in 2006, the trio consists of pianist Karla Haltenwanger, violist Birgit Erz and cellist Ilona Kindt.

The group has released eight CDs and performed with orchestras such as the Nieder- rheinische Sinfoniker, the Brandenburger Symphoniker, and the Berne Symphony Orchestra.

They have been invited to perform at prestigious theatres such as the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Vienna Musikverein in Vienna, and Wigmore Hall in London, and at festivals including
Heidelberg Spring Festival and Kissingen Summer Festival in German.

The concert will begin at 8pm. The conservatory is at 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1. Tickets from VND250,000 can be bought at
