The move will see the German airline exploit the route with a frequency of two flights per week.
Lufthansa Cargo deployed two flights per week from Germany to Ho Chi Minh City. Through the new service the airline will double its transportation capacity between Germany and Vietnam.
Announcing its inauguration plan at a press briefing on November 24, Lufthansa Cargo’s representative said the opening of new flights is primarily based on the impressive indicators of economic growth that Vietnam has achieved in recent times, despite enduring the negative impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vietnamese exports to the European market have recorded strong growth in recent times. In particular electronics, automobile spare parts, and clothes are frequently transported from Hanoi to Europe.
