As one of the most beautiful destinations to view the ripening rice terraces in Northern Vietnam, the districts of Vi Xuyen and Hoang Su Phi in Ha Giang have emerged unscathed from the recent storm. Currently, the rice terraces in Ha Giang are transitioning into their golden phase, with fields turning vibrant yellow and preparing for the harvest season. Known as one of the top locations for "golden season" photography in Vietnam, Ha Giang’s fields, especially in Vi Xuyen and Hoang Su Phi, are already drawing interest from travelers eager to witness the natural beauty firsthand.

Despite the heavy rains brought by Storm No. 3, most of Ha Giang was spared significant damage, and the rice crops have remained in pristine condition. According to Hoang Van Huy, a travel guide from Hanoi, tourists are already inquiring about travel conditions and accommodations in areas such as Vi Xuyen and Hoang Su Phi, signaling a strong interest in visiting during this beautiful season.

Some key areas to view the spectacular rice terraces in Vi Xuyen include the villages of Nà Mầu and Xà Phìn, both located in Phương Tiến commune, just a short drive from Ha Giang city center. These areas, known for their lush, cascading fields, will soon be bathed in golden hues as the harvest season peaks in early October.

At an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level, these villages offer not only breathtaking views of the rice fields but also cool, fresh mountain air. Additional lesser-known spots, like Na Thac, Khuoi My, and Lung Vai in Phuong Do commune, provide equally stunning views, though they remain relatively undiscovered by many tourists.

While the northern mountainous roads can be narrow and steep, recent improvements have made access to these remote villages much easier for adventurous travelers looking to experience the harvest season in all its glory.
