The event is expected to attract around 1,000 in-person attendees.
As Asia accelerates its AI capabilities with a young and increasingly tech-savvy workforce, the forum aims to strengthen strategic collaboration between businesses and academic institutions across the region.
Centered on a human-first approach, GStar 2026 will focus on how artificial intelligence can improve productivity, work quality and everyday life throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
The one-day program’s biggest draw comes from its lineup of 15 leading speakers and experts, including representatives from some of the world’s most influential technology companies.
Among the notable speakers are Dr. Thang Luong, Principal Scientist and Research Director at Google DeepMind; Dr. Ed H. Chi, Vice President of Research at Google DeepMind; Dr. Hung Bui, Vice President at Qualcomm AI Research; and Marc Woo, Managing Director of Google Vietnam and Asia-Pacific.
Executives from both domestic and international corporations and startups are also expected to participate.
GStar 2026 will feature keynote presentations alongside three panel discussions.
Beyond theory, the event will place strong emphasis on real-world AI implementation and talent development, serving as a strategic bridge connecting businesses, innovators, investors and policymakers.
Generative AI applications, AI in healthcare and fintech solutions will also be showcased through live demonstrations during the forum.
Speaking about the vision behind the event, Dr. Thang Luong described GStar 2026 as “an important milestone for the Asia-Pacific AI ecosystem in reshaping how AI serves humanity.”
He expressed hope that the forum would help reposition Asia from being primarily a technology adopter to becoming a global leader in artificial intelligence innovation.
Sharing a similar perspective, Professor Po-Shen Loh said that in the AI era, humanity’s core values lie in flexible thinking, empathy and ethical responsibility.
According to him, GStar 2026 will provide a platform to discuss how these qualities can be nurtured to ensure technological breakthroughs continue to serve humanity’s best interests.
GStar 2026 continues NTI’s annual AI event series, which has been organized since 2018.
Previously, AI Day 2023 attracted more than 1,300 attendees with the appearance of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, while GenAI 2024 welcomed more than 800 participants and featured Jeff Dean, Google’s Chief Scientist.
