The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang Province recently held talks with Yunnan province (China) to evaluate the results of cooperation in developing culture, sports and tourism between the two sides and discuss the content of cooperation in the future.

On March 27, in Ha Giang city, representatives of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China) met to evaluate the results of cooperation in developing culture, sports and tourism between the two agencies in recent years and discuss the content of cooperation in the future.

At the meeting, leaders of the Ha Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism introduced the potential and advantages of the local natural and cultural resources. In particular, in recent times the province has focused resources on building a tourism product system towards sustainable green tourism development. Ha Giang has many times been named on the list of ideal destinations voted by prestigious travel magazines around the world.

In order to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, Ha Giang province proposed to unify specific exchange contents, with the focus being that the two sides continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in promoting tourism and coordinate to introduce images and destinations of the two sides; share tourism resources, build tourism products; exchange tourist sources, jointly promote tourist routes; enhance information exchange on mechanisms, policies and regulations related to the fields of cultural and tourism activities; support in removing difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for travel firms of both sides to take tourists through the Thanh Thuy (Vietnam) – Tianbao (China) International Border Gate pair; strengthen links, cooperation, exchanges to learn from each other's experiences in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. 

Ha Giang officials also proposed to exchange delegations on an annual basis to exchange experiences in culture, sports and tourism, and create favorable conditions to jointly develop tourism and services...

Representatives of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Yunnan province gave an overview of the potential, strengths, and typical tourism products of Yunnan province. On that basis, it is proposed that in the coming time, the two sides would continue to strengthen exchanges, cooperation, and exploitation of tourism products; connect suitable tours and tourist routes; strengthen propaganda and effectively exploit tourism products of the two sides; enhance attraction, improve services and monitor the tourism market of both sides. In addition, the two sides should regularly exchange information, share experiences, and interact to promote the growing tourism industry of both sides...

At the end of the talks, the two agencies signed a tourism development cooperation agreement to increase exchanges and promote tourism development connections between tourism firms in Yunnan province and those of Ha Giang, promoting cooperation and development between tourism businesses of the two sides, based on equal cooperation and mutual benefit.
