Within the framework of activities to welcome Ha Giang’s reception of the membership of the UNESCO Global Geopark network of Dong Van Karst Plateau for the 3rd time and the 9th Buckwheat Flower Festival 2023, Yen Minh district opened the 2023 night market on the evening of October 21.

Yen Minh district’s night market will open every Friday night, from October 20 to November 17. In the opening week alone, there were two night markets on Friday and Saturday, October 20 and 21.

Yen Minh district night market is a place to buy and sell agricultural products, culinary products, clothing, labor tools and the place for cultural, artistic and entertainment activities to serve local residents and tourists.

Through the night market, the local authorities aimed to create opportunities for organizations, individuals, and households to develop traditional industries and local products and to have the opportunity to trade, exchange, promote and introduce their products, and raise awareness of businesses and individuals about trade promotion activities, applying science and technology to production and development of agricultural products, thereby promoting economic development and serving visitors to Yen Minh district during the Buckwheat Flower Festival 2023.

This activity also aims to preserve and promote traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the district through cultural and performing arts programs at the night market.
