On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), hundreds of international tourists arrived at the Ha Long International Passenger Port to "break ground" at Ha Long Bay.

At 8:00am, the Silver Dawn cruise ship carrying over 500 international visitors from European and American countries docked at the port.

Pham Duc An, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, personally welcomed the special guests arriving at Ha Long on the first day of the Year of the Snake.

As the guests stepped off the ship, they were greeted with a traditional ceremony. Mr. Pham Duc An and local officials presented fresh bouquets and extended New Year’s greetings to the international visitors.

According to the leaders of the Quang Ninh Tourism Department, these international visitors "breaking ground" at Ha Long Bay on the first day of the Year of the Snake is a positive signal for the province's tourism industry.

In 2025, Quang Ninh aims to welcome 20 million visitors, including 4.5 million international tourists, with a projected revenue of approximately 55 trillion VND.

Pham Cong
