In recent days at Cua Sot fishing port, Thach Kim commune, Loc Ha district, people can see the joy of fishermen. Thanks to a bountiful harvest of scallop, local fishermen are thrilled.

According to many fishermen, they work from 4am every day till around 3pm to harvest scallops.

During March to July every year, it is the perfect time to catch scallops. Thanks to favourable weather, each day, there are nearly 100 fishing boats in use at Cua Sot port.

At present, most of the scallops are bought by traders right at Cua Sot port and packed into foam boxes for export to China .-VNA
