The Hanoi Department of Traffic Police reported that on August 20, adjustments were made to traffic control plans for upcoming events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Hanoi authorities will hold an official celebration, including a military parade and procession, at 6:30 AM on September 2.

The first combined rehearsal is scheduled for 8:00 PM on August 21, followed by the second on August 24, the preliminary review on August 27, and the final full rehearsal at 6:30 AM on August 30.

To facilitate these activities safely, the Hanoi police have revised the road restriction timeline as follows:

The period of complete, partial, and restricted traffic bans will begin at 11:30 AM on August 21 and continue until 3:00 AM on August 22 - 5 hours and 30 minutes earlier than previously announced.

Specific streets subject to complete or temporary bans, or traffic limitations, remain consistent with prior announcements and will be enforced accordingly.

According to the Department of Traffic Police, these restrictions may continue to be updated depending on the evolving schedule of the commemorative events. Authorities urge the public to stay informed and monitor traffic updates before traveling.
